Yes — vegetarian options include the Veggie Taco ($6.99) with sautéed zucchini, yellow squash, red bell peppers, black beans, salsa verde and pickled onion, plus the Veggie Burrito ($14.95), Casero Greens salad ($15.95) and a side of grilled veggies ($6.00). For a vegan meal, ask your server which dishes can be made without cheese, crema or other animal products.

Seasonal white fish — the variety changes throughout the year, so ask your server what's in today. Order it beer-battered in the Baja Fish Taco ($7.99) or char-grilled in the Grilled Fish Taco ($6.99).

Baja-style refers to the coastal cooking of Mexico's Baja California peninsula, best known for beer-battered fish tacos with crunchy slaw, crema and fresh salsa on corn tortillas. At Casero, our Baja Fish Taco ($7.99) follows that tradition with seasonal white fish, cilantro slaw, crema and salsa fresca on a handmade corn tortilla.

Start with three tacos: the Baja Fish Taco ($7.99), the Al Pastor Taco ($6.99) cooked on our vertical trompo, and the Birria Taco ($7.99) with consomé. Share an order of Esquite ($9.95) and try the Casero Margarita ($13), our Cadillac margarita.

Our signature is the Casero Margarita ($13), a Cadillac margarita made with blanco tequila, homemade orange rind simple syrup, fresh lime juice and Grand Marnier. The list also includes the spicy Salsipuedes ($14), the Hibiscus Mistress ($15) and mezcal cocktails like the Coco Mezcalito ($13), and you can ask your server about tequila flights.

Our list pairs local craft beer with Mexican classics: Casero Mexican Lager (our cerveza de la casa), Burgeon Treevana IPA from Carlsbad, Pure Project Pure West IPA from Vista, AleSmith .394 Pale Ale, Hess Fairpoint Hazy IPA, Duckfoot Kook Slam GF IPA, Pacifico and Negra Modelo. Taps rotate, so ask your server what's pouring, and draft beers are $7 during happy hour.

Happy hour runs 3–6 PM every day except Tuesday, with $10 margaritas and $7 draft beers. On Tuesdays, Taco Tuesday takes over with $1.99 tacos all day.
